Jan Sanchez has taught English for 33 years in one of the largest and most diverse high schools in California. In her tenure at the school she also served as the literacy coach, introducing a variety of programs and strategies to improve students' reading and writing. Jan has extensive experience training staff; she has designed and presented professional development workshops at schools throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Her workshops include classroom management and integrating critical thinking and ethics into the curriculum. Jan has participated in education programs in schools and universities in England, China, Indonesia, India and Africa. Jan has a degree in English from San Jose State University.
