Carla Holtzclaw

Carla Holtzclaw, founder of Code Red Training Associates, Inc., brings a rich background that includes over 25 years in education as an English teacher, Healthy Start Coordinator and Coordinator of School Safety Programs as well as consulting for the California Department of Education. Carla has co-coordinated active shooter/terrorist simulations involving 700 to 6,500 participants, including students, educators, parents, law enforcement, fire departments, hospitals and Office of Emergency Services. She has been an evaluator for natural disaster and bio-terrorist exercises as well as the principal facilitator for actual critical incident de-briefings that further inform law enforcement and education professionals in the important work of school safety. Carla holds undergraduate degrees in English and History from Notre Dame de Namur University and a Masters in Educational Leadership and administrative credential from San Jose State University.
